otto quality italian restaurant st peter port guernsey

Otto Italian Kitchen was on my hotel‘s list of suggested, nearby restaurants. Must admit I didn’t expect to find such a quality restaurant outside the centre of St. Peter Port, the capital of Guernsey. Maybe my mistake. It will be a 10 minute walk north of town, along the main road, but absolutely worth it. It was super busy on a Saturday evening, so might wanna call ahead. When I was told they had no room for me, I decided on take-away, until I realised I didn’t have cutlery in my room 🙂 Spotted a counter top table at a bar like area, and asked if it was possible for me to sit there. Sure was. Admittedly not the nicest seat in the house, unlike the rest of the place, which looked nice and warm, but better than the alternative, leave, hungry. Once the food arrived, I couldn’t care less. Pappardelle pasta with truffle mushroom sauce and wagyu ragout – splendid tasting! And some drink I don’t remember what was, I guess not my favourite 😀 Was planning on returning, but never made it that far. Website says “childhood memories of Naples” and “my nonna taught me”, so I assume authentic Italian food experience.
