Tiger Sushi

Growing up on Senja, and for a long time thereafter, we didn’t use to be too spoiled when it came to places to go out for dinner. Lately though, new places keep popping up. Tiger Sushi being one of them. During my last visit home, I figured we had to give a new restaurant a go, even though my friend still living there, had a bad experience the day after opening day. Apparently they’ve come a long way since then, because this visit was a really good one! At least for two of us, the third one was not too happy with her chicken curry… Could be one overcooked mishap, because the restaurant was more or less full this Saturday night. My Peking Duck, Hot Philly maki and some salmon gunkan maki I can’t remember the name of, were spot on!

With Finnsnes being a very small town, saying that Tiger Sushi is a bit off, is somewhat of a contradiction 🙂 But you do have to move away from the main square, where you’ll find most of the shops located. Best advise is to ask around 🙂

Update: Have they lost “the magical touch”? Was disappointed by the food on my last visit, making me not too eager on revisiting for a fourth time.

Update II: Fourth and fifth time in the can 🙂 The latter being take-away. I am liking it again, but it is not my favourite restaurant in Finnsnes.

Update III: After several visits, conclusion is, this is a hit or miss. A dish can be excellent on one visit, and the next time at the other side of the scale. The makis and the Thai Steak seem to be pretty consistent.
