Anyone Out There?

what to see do biloxi mississippi usa

Since my impression from researching Biloxi, Mississippi, was a lot better than Mobile, Alabama, we decided to spend the night here, on our way west. Big mistake! After not getting too much help from the staff at our hotel, we were basically lost. Just imagine someone standing on the corners of empty streets, turning around again and again, with no idea of where to go, and no hints thrown at them. That were us. After somehow figuring out we had to go west from where we were, we came upon a cute little street named Rue Magnolia. Small, adorable houses with different businesses inside. Only one we could enter, a shop selling pottery, clothes etc. Talking to the lady who owned the store, we were told this was the centre of town, with Howard Street being the main thoroughfare. She told us the town centre was being remodelled, so at this time there was nothing there, and she was dead right – nothing! Having a peek at what they were working on, I think it will be nice, some day… On our way back to the hotel, very disappointed by the place, I decided to get a closer look at the harbour next door – that was kind of a delightful surprise! Shrimp boats all lined up 🙂

    1. Haha, we didn’t see more of Mississippi than Biloxi, but what I saw of Mobile, Alabama, I liked. However I loved road tripping through the southern states!!

Love to hear your comment :)
