Well, I’m not too sure it is. Considering what you pay, and what you get, I lean towards no. Sure it’s beautiful, and there’s a lot of nice photos ops, but at 1500 Turkish lira…? In all honesty, it’s a large “room” with water and loads of columns, cool lighting, and a few modern art installations among the pillars. You zigzag through the space on walkways slightly hovering above the water. 20 minutes, and I was done… On the other hand, a friend who visited a few years back, found it worth the money. I think I read about an evening event, maybe that could be something.
The queue to get in, in the morning, was looong. Sultanahmet was overcrowded. Since I stayed in the area, I visited around 5:30 pm. Still a line, but not too bad.
