Red Sun

red sun asian restaurant store oslo norway

When a new restaurant popped up close to the office in Oslo, Norway, I was pretty happy. I guess it means I’ve been to the other ones too many times 😀 Unless you know where it is, you might not actually spot it. It faces a roundabout, a place you just walk past. In other words not the best location, but once inside you don’t think about it being in the middle of traffic. It’s a nice looking place, small, intimate, and I’ve always been seated on the balcony. First time I visited I wasn’t too impressed with the food. Second time I really, really enjoyed myself. So I guess go for the Kung Pao chicken with cashew nuts, and not the chilli hot pot – just kidding! I am happily going back to have a go at their other dishes, and another mocktail.

Red Sun is located in Storo, so unless you’re staying at one of the hotels in the area, you’ll have to get on the subway. About 10-15 minutes from downtown.

      1. Good advice! It seems like many of the places that have popped up (or even been a staple) in Oslo end up disappearing…. It is quite sad when that happens.

        1. I know. I guess we are too much creatures of habit. When we finally give another place a chance, we end up forgetting about the old one. I always say next time I’ll try something new, and when next time arrives I am hungry and just want good food, and go where I know I’ll get it 😀
