Checking In: Odesa

frapolli hotel review odessa ukraine

While exploring Odesa, Ukraine, I spent the nights at Frapolli Hotel, right on Derybasivska Street. The hotel is placed at the more quiet end of the city’s main street, but still very centrally located with shops and restaurants lining the side streets, and a short walk to the busier section of the thoroughfare. My standard room was facing the backyard, so even in the midst of it all, the nights were quiet. The room itself is nice. My favourite feature was the real plants on the windowsill. I’ve had bouquets before, but not live plants. As for the common area by the lobby, it didn’t appear big, but it had a fireplace, and I think I spotted a bar too. Also there’s a small winter garden by the entrance. If you find the setup too crammed, the hotel seems to have some collaboration with the Irish bar/sports bar/restaurant next door. Hotel guests were offered a free drink, but I never got around to it. Not much of a drinker anyway 🙂
