Berlin…

what to do see berlin germany

Am I the only one, who didn’t fall in love with Berlin…? I hear people rave. It all kind of felt so spread out, that I just didn’t get a grip on it. From Brandenburg Gate at Pariser Platz, and nearby Reichstag, down Unter den Linden to Berlin Cathedral by Spree, with a view of the Berliner Fernsehturm at Alexanderplatz. Stopped by a packed Berlin Art Market, and on my last day this area was off limits as they were shooting a movie, a huge production it looked like, with horses and carriages. Swung by Potsdamer Platz too. Which seemed to be dominated by Sony Centre, a huge entertainment complex. I found a part of the Berlin Wall there as well – cool! Last stop was Kurfürstendamm. A shopping mecca. Not in the mood, I had a peak at the intriguing looking Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church – something old, something new. I also visited Charlottenburg Palace Gardens. It feels very horrible to say, but my visit to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp was the most interesting experience I had on this trip…

Souvenir tip
Travel towel and wash cloth with the iconic traffic light symbols on. Love them!
