The Pelham Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana, must be the classiest looking and most expensive place we stayed at on our budget road trip down from Washington D.C. As a result the question begs, is it worth it? Well, it is nice and comfortable. But was I more happy here than any of the lesser quality places? Nope! But that’s just me 🙂 I just need it clean, safe, centrally located, and at a cost that keeps me on the road longer. Anyway, the Pelham is of good standard, the rooms a bit small/crammed, but best of all, the central location – a short walk from the main thoroughfare of the city, and the French Quarter.
For our road trip we rented a car from Alamo Rent A Car.

It’s nice, but nothing out of the ordinary, I think. If you’re into history, you might find some of the artefacts in the lobby interesting.
