In Charleston, South Carolina, we got pushed out over the bridge to Mount Pleasant – a 10 minutes Uber ride to town. Due to a festival in the Carolinas, vacant centrally located hotel rooms were few, and way too expensive considering what we were getting. Instead we decided to splurge on the best room at budget hotel Red Roof Plus+. Not sure what extra it got us, besides a box of drinks and snacks, which makes me think about what the other rooms might look like… This is basic stuff, but we got what we needed still, including on-site parking and nearby grocery stores and malls.
For our road trip we rented a car from Alamo Rent A Car.
