Let’s Set Some Ground Rules!

parliament oslo norway

So this fall I finally made it inside the lawmakers building. As it is sitting right there on the main street of Oslo, I’ve walked by plenty of times, thinking I ought to have a look inside. How did it go with years of “anticipation”…? Well, it has a nice looking exterior, so of course I assumed the inside would match. In some ways it does. It just takes two floors to get to the part that holds up its end of the deal. See, when you enter from the main entrance, what greets you is pretty austere. I dare say the whole thing is, besides the two chambers, where the debates are held. They are actually a bit grand in their appearance, and look like what I would think a parliament would, or should, look like… There was an exhibition on the second floor, but I didn’t pay it much attention. What did catch my eye though, were the scarf of my favourite football team hanging on the office door of one of the representatives – loved that 🙂

    1. I never get around to it, so thought I should get better at it – not as exciting as LA though 🙂

    1. Actually saw the same door, with the same scarf, on the news the other day – one of the ministers were interviewed in the hallway 🙂

  1. I live in Sweden and we keep discussing taking the night ferry to Oslo. Will definitely check out this building once we get there. #farawayfiles
