I guess one of the criteria of a rooftop bar is having an impressive view, and Vista Bar in Yangon is no exception. In my mind it offers the city’s second best nighttime view. Of the lit Shwedagon Pagoda. The best view is of the same pagoda, just from the People’s Square and Park 🙂 When you arrive at Vista Bar admittedly it doesn’t look like much. It feels like you enter the back entrance to a fancy place. After climbing a few staircases to get to the top, you step out onto an open-air terrace with a bar, packed with people. I’d say we were lucky to get a table. Though, just coming for drinks and the view, it wouldn’t have been a huge problem hanging out in the bar. I could see they served food too, even though it was hard to make out the items on the menu in the light of a candle in the close to pitch-dark 🙂
This place is outside of downtown Yangon. As you can see not far from the beautiful pagoda, but how to get there, I have no idea, just followed my friends.

Not often I do rooftop bars, but should probably do it more often, because the view is stunning, at least in this case!
