Homemade Goodies!

cafe ollantaytambo peru

After trotting around Ollantaytambo, exploring what the small village had to offer, my biggest wish was to find a nice, little place to sit down for a break. Apparently La Esquina Cafe & Bakery must have looked inviting. I don’t remember being too excited walking in, but a lot more so when I saw what waited inside. The lovely looking husband-and-wife-run spot next to Plaza de Armas is serving up lunch, dinner and, to my utterly liking, homemade desserts and cakes – I could see it straight away as I approached the cake stand. Needless to say I found what I was looking for, and more – teatime, I’m ready!

  1. I love home baked cookies and I can only imagine how good these must have tasted. I hope to visit Peru someday. #TheWeeklyPostcard

    1. Don’t want to make you even more sorry, but Ollantaytambo was a gem. I am so glad I chose it over Cusco, spent one day in Cusco only.

      1. LOL. No worries… not likely to easily make it back. So it’s water under the bridge. Glad you enjoyed it!

Love to hear your comment :)
