As I was travelling from Luleå, Sweden, by train, I found Comfort Hotel Arctic to be a good choice. It is located opposite the train station, where a bus servicing the airport also terminates, and 3 (short) blocks away from the bus station, and pedestrian main street (Storgatan). This hotel must be an acquired one, as it does not have the same design as other Comfort hotels I’ve stayed at. Although not especially cool looking neither interior nor exterior wise, it did what I needed it to do, and a little bit more. Appreciated the (2) complementary bottles of water in the room, and the free candy at the reception 🙂 Was allowed to fill up my re-usable water bottle from the tap in the breakfast room – yes, you can drink tap water in Sweden. Breakfast was decent, including a selection of wellness shots. A menu with dinner items was posted in the reception, so there might be room service, or maybe served in the breakfast room. No mention of this on their website, so if important, double check. The reception also had a small selection of toiletries for sale. When I arrived close to midnight, the front door was locked, but rang the door bell, and I was soon welcomed inside.
How to reach the hotel / city from the airport: There are two buses to choose from. Bus #104 Järnvägsstationen (train station) terminates across the street. If you take bus #4, you will have to walk from Smedjegatan / City, or change to another bus. Used the LLT app to buy tickets, and find departures. 15 minute ride. 31 SEK (Swedish kronor).
