First time I visited this eatery in Finnsnes, Northern Norway, I wasn’t impressed. Second time was another matter. In essence, go for the traditional Norwegian food. It’s your best bet. Well, I guess fish and chips is not traditional Norwegian 😀 Just don’t go for the burger. Not as bad as Fjösn, but nothing I would be eager to repeat. Finnsnes is definitely missing a juicy burger place, and Italian pizza. Back to my fish & chips. Big portion. Two large fillets of fish. Both dips / sauces very, very tasty. Would have liked the peas to be of the mushy form. One of the best looking restaurants in town. Skreien in Finnsnes is a branch of Skreien in Gryllefjord on Senja.
Update: Since Christmas time is coming up, my go-to fish and chips has sadly been taken off the menu. Probably to make room for festive season dishes. When asking about their steak, we were told they are not happy with what their supplier has delivered, and therefore wouldn’t recommend it… Unfortunately, I went for the fish burger. A sad, little thing. The tartar sauce had been smeared on like a thin layer of butter. It’s boring in taste, small in size, and steep in price. Choose something else.
