London Snaps

sightseeing famous landmarks snapshots london england uk

With London being the huge metropolis it is, and with me having visited a few times by now, I rarely wander aimlessly around. I usually know where I’m going, at least in which direction/neighbourhood, and what I am seeing. On the way though, I often happen to come across famous landmarks, and somewhat forgotten curiosities – stuff that have slipped my mind. I love those surprises! Always puts a smile on my face 🙂 First time I visited was the summer of ’89, so these are both old memories and new encounters.

Here are the things I’ve put a lot more effort in seeing – my London adventures.

And a few honourable mentions, or not so honourable… Regent’s Park had a relaxing vibe, despite being in the middle of summer, and sweltering hot. Deck chairs had been put out, for visitors to take a load off. The inside of St. Paul’s Cathedral didn’t wow me. The city views from the top are nice. Sightseeing cruise on the Thames was ok, but definitely not a must. Notting Hill’s Portobello Road, not all that. Didn’t visit Portobello Road Market, as I’m not very interested. Even a young me found Madame Tussauds less fascinating.
